EQO-NIXUS was selected to provide its consulting services within the project “Support for tendering processes for the construction of power plants using renewable energy: Technical studies of photovoltaic power plants”, funded by the European Commission (EC).

EQO NIXUS has extensive experience working on the development of solar energy all over the world including America, Asia, Africa, the Pacific, Middle East, etc. This time, the company was awarded with a European Commission contract in the Ivory Coast.

The project started on June 2020, will last 36 months and is part of the “ENERGOS II” programme. The overall objective of ENERGOS II is to contribute to the recovery of the electricity sector in Ivory Coast and to ensure its energy security in a sustainable manner in order to provide the population with quality energy at lower cost.

In particular, EQO NIXUS will carry out feasibility studies to enable the Ivorian State to launch tenders for the selection of independent electricity producers. This is expected to contribute to achieving the State’s objective of producing 16% of energy from renewable sources (excluding large hydro) by 2030.
